Josias Silva

CEO & Founder

Dr. Josias Silva obtained his PhD in geophysics from Brazil’s largest engineering institution, COPPE/UFRJ (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro). He has extensive experience in geophysical research and software development for the oil and gas sector in Brazil.

Luiz Landau

Council member

Dr. Luiz Landau obtained his master's and doctorate degrees in civil engineering from COPPE/UFRJ (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro). He currently works as a professor, researcher and coordinator of the Computational Methods Laboratory at COPPE/UFRJ.

Marcio Martins

Technical director

Dr. Marcio Martins obtained his PhD in geophysics from COPPE/UFRJ (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro). He has extensive experience in seismic inversion, wave field exploration methods, and inverse problems related to applied geophysics.

Sergio Landau

CFO

Economist graduated from Cândido Mendes University. He worked for over 35 years at Grupo Light Serviços de Eletricidade SA, where he was responsible for several executive areas of the company.

Luciano Leite

Software Development Leader

Master in Systems and Computer Engineering (COPPE/UFRJ), has worked for over 10 years as a researcher at the Laboratory of Computational Methods in Engineering (LAMCE/COPPE/UFRJ)

Liziane Medeiros

Digital petrophysics coordinator

Petroleum Engineer graduated from the Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG). Master's student in the Postgraduate Program in Civil Engineering at COPPE/UFRJ

Alyne Duarte

Senior Petrophysicist

PhD student at COPPE/UFRJ and master in geosciences from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). Specialist in digital rock physics with extensive experience in well petrophysics

Rafael Ancelme

Project Manager

Master in Computational Methods Oriented to the Oil Industry from the Civil Engineering Program at UFRJ (2011), with extensive experience in financial management of research and development projects.

G&G Services

Our services in the geology and geophysics segment offer the most modern in terms of applying techniques that seek to increase the assertiveness of our interpretations. Both for mapping new exploratory opportunities and characterizing reservoirs already discovered or in production, our team delivers products with a high degree of added technology.

Software Development

In recent years, PETREC has consolidated itself in the development of WEB platforms for managing large volumes of data. Our quality has been attested by our deliveries in contracts with regulatory agencies and oil operators in Brazil and around the world.

R&D

PETREC has been involved in RD&I since its creation. We believe that innovative solutions do not come easily. A lot of investment is needed in qualified training and talent retention that can provide solutions that make a difference in such a competitive market. The majority of our technical team has master's and doctorate degrees in some area of geoscience or engineering.
